teachers

The Chamber and the Wilder Days Committee would like to invite all teachers at the Mansfield School to participate in Wilder Days 2011.

The theme for 2011 is “Laura, Teacher of the Ozarks” and every teacher, past and present, is invited to be in the Parade as part of the Parade Marshall group.

Our parade is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 17. We will be prepared to have rides in the parade or teachers who would like to walk in the parade are welcome to do so.

Additionally, we would like to invite and encourage teachers and classes to have vendor booths for the visitors at Wilder Days. We’re eager to work with anyone who would like to educate, entertain or raise funds through their booth. The information for booths is attached for your convenience. Please contact the vendor committee if you have questions.

As you may know, we have the annual Little Laura and Little Farmer Boy Look-a-Like Contest for which many of your students fit the age groups. We understand that you may not wish to be in the position of judging when the contestants are your students. We can use help getting the children lined up and through their friendly competition. The reassuring presence of a recognized teacher would be wonderful. Please consider volunteering to help the children on Saturday morning, Sept. 17, 2011.

Thank you for being teachers for children in the Mansfield community.

Sincerely,

The Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce and The Wilder Day Committee
