The schedule at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Homes and Museum for Saturday September 18, 2010 will be:
The grounds will open at 9:00 am. Special Wilder Day Admission: Adults $4.00 Children (6-17) $2.00
Program on the North Lawn of the Historic Farm House September 18, 2010
10:00 am Introduction – Jean Coday, President/Director
10:15 am David Scrivener – Medley of fiddle music on Pa’s Fiddle
11:00 am Ozark Mountain Players – Selected vignettes from “Laura’s Memories”
11:30 am – Singing Group – Dave Wilson, Bill Bruffet and Renae Beushausen
Break for Lunch
1:30 pm Parade in Mansfield
2:00 pm David Scrivener – Medley of fiddle music on Pa’s Fiddle
2:30 pm Betty Dale – Dulcimer music selections and story time.
3:00 pm. “Laura’s Memories” Matinee
In addition to the program, there will be
- Children’s Story Time on the lawn with Kathy Short at 2:30 pm
- “Walk in Laura’s Footsteps” — Visit our walking trail — Location just east of the Rocky Ridge Bookstore
- Enjoy the rare opportunity to see the upstairs guest bedroom in the Historic Rocky Ridge Farmhouse
- The Country Heritage Spinners and Weavers will be on the grounds demonstrating their arts.
- The Laura Ingalls Wilder Home Association is presenting a new DVD for sale in the Rocky Ridge Bookstore; a Documentation of “Laura — the Life Story of a Pioneer Girl” (30 min)
